This forum is for the discussion of anything to do with Prostate Cancer.

UPDATES FROM MEMBERS

JAMES EDGE his first PSA after stopping ADT (Androgen Deprivation Therapy) was unaltered

TOM LAUTERBACK - has decided on IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy)

JIM WHELAN – has decided on IGRT (Image Guided Radiation Therapy)but is looking for feedback on two available systems

JOHN GROVER PSA still undetectable and no other problems after his RALP (Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy)

JOHN SHUEY – PSA down to 0.78 ng/ml after his Proton Beam therapy with no side effects

EDGAR TULLAR - has some incontinence issues and total Ed after RALP in July 2008

JIM GOODBAR - chose Cryotherapy because salvage therapies were available, has now had EBRT after the primary treatment failed and his disease metastasized

KEN HANCOCK - update four years after diagnosis and RALP – no incontinence, PSA undetectable and no erections

GARY RICH – finally bit the bullet and had an implant to sort out his ED after RALP – very happy with the outcome

IAN SHARPLEY Silver member who chose RALP and has an undetectable PSA



JOHN MR undetectable PSA after RALP in 2007, some small incontinence and ED issues to deal with

J K has achieved a usable erection 14 months after his RALP with a vacuum pump

BRENT PETTIGREW - Silver member has slow rising PSA and ED after failed surgery and salvage radiation

BILL M - has some ED problems and slight continence issues three years after his surgery

TIM KEEFER stopped his trial as PSA was still rising; now on chemo with a PSA of 422

LENNY HIRSCH my PCa 3 Gold star ‘twin’ (give or take a couple of diagnostics) fairly relaxed after 13 years
PAUL A a little concerned about a rising PSA after EBRT (External Beam Radiation Therapy) folowing failed RALP (Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy)

BILL SHORT all fired up ahead of his RALP at the end of the month

CHRIS H celebrating his 12 month anniversary of his brachytherapy – no side effects and a reducing PSA

TOM E 18 months after RALP, undetectable PSA, some minor continence issues and some excellent comments on ED from both Tom and his wife, Susan
