Provenge

Has anyone used a new drug Provenge? I read it worked in a recent clinic trial for advanced PCa.

Re: Provenge

Alan,

Provenge has not been approved by the FDA. The current hooha has arisen because of press releases put out by the manufacturers who say that when the results of the recently completed trials are published the FDA will approve the drug.

Maybe they will; maybe they won't. Certainly the price of the stock has rocketed.

One of the "guesstimates" of the cost is that is that it is going to be more than $65,000 for a course of treatment, if it is approved.
