Re: Re: Free PSA Test

Hi! I just spoke to my urologist's nurse. She said they were not too concerned about my PSA rise due to the BPH problems and my age range (68). But she agreed to move my next appointment earlier. Again I want a DRE and a new PSA test with the free PSA test. And thanks to the last post I will delay the PSA test for a week after the DRE. Also no sex just before the PSA test. I can do without that for a few days. LOL. Bill

Re: Re: Re: Free PSA Test

Bill, ... just draw the blood first, then do the DRE...Joe

Re: Re: Re: Free PSA Test

Bill- Yeah, no sex prior to PSA for at least 48 hours, no coffee, no exercising. For some good reading, read my story under the mentor section of this site. Good luck my friend. Dave

Re: Re: Re: Re: Free PSA Test

Hi Dave: Yes your story is very interesting. Considering your age I certainly think quick surgery would have been best for you. If I do indeed have cancer I am not sure what to think. I am 68 so I know that can make a difference. You wrote you live in Los Angeles County. I lived in the Pomona area for 31 years. Bill Langley
