psa after dre

I just recieved my first PSA results after being diagnosed with PCa. The PSA was 0.93 and I was very pleased in that it was lower than any previous pre-PCa PSA tests.
I have just read PSA 101 as well as a few similar posting and now realise that my PSA reading of 0.93 may be somewhat meaningless inasmuch as the blood was drawn about 20 minutes after a DRE.
How long should I wait to get another PSA which would not be compomised by a DRE?

Re: psa after dre

One study suggested that for "Prostate Massage" results might be affected for up to six weeks.

A DRE, unless it is unusually vigorous, should affect any PSA levels for considerably less time.

All the best
