Re: Surgery Success

The message that: "you can improve your odds of a successful outcome from radical prostatectomy by taking time to find a surgeon with extensive experience." is definitely one that men should take to heart. With so many urology practices buying Da Vinci 'robots', you have to wonder how many procedures are being performed by docs still under the learning curve.

Having said that, Dr. Walsh's erectile function numbers seem really good. I wonder if they are with or without Viagra or similar medication?

I also wonder if the Johns Hopkins post is an ad of sorts. With 'robotic' surgery so available now, you have to wonder if the 'center of excellence' practices have lost business to the local practices who now have Da Vinci equipment.
