Yes. I had this for a few months post op. It was quite intense at times and lasted for a few hours. You named the spot exactly. I had a CAT scan and there was some fluid in that area. The pain eventually subsided.
I had an RP in September 2009. After some considerable issues with blockages I am now finally catheter free and feeling great.
I am now on hormone therapy and expect to start radiotherapy soon. They say that there can be a loss of libido associated with hormone therapy but that hasn't happened to me.
I have been manually stimulating myself since the catheter came out and find that I am able to get an impressive amount of thickening and hardening of my penis. Like it used to be on the way to an erection. It doesn't quite get there though but its certainly hard enough to give intercourse a try. I don't know if I am lucky or this is normal.
However I have stimulated myself to orgasm and it hurts like hell - at the end of the penis and in the area between the base of the scrotum and the back passage. Really hurts. Has anyone else had this issue?? It makes me fear intercourse because of the possible pain that may occur.
