insurance coverage (out of network) HMO

Hello.
I live on the Central Coast of California.
I would like to know if any members have had treatment done out of "network" regarding blue shield HMO access+ and their coverage of treatment. Any information regarding this type of insurance plan and the exercise regarding getting them to provide for treatment would be greatly appreciated. I appreciate learning from another's experience when possible. After all, that is what we are here for.
thank you for your time and consideration

Re: insurance coverage (out of network) HMO

Hello Robert. I live in Orange County and have Blue Cross of California HMO. I had the daVinci surgery in January. Neither of the hospitals in my network had the robot, but Hoag Hospital in Costa Mesa did. Blue Cross covered every penny. Nothing at all out of pocket.
