Swollen feet

I have had PCa 1 year. I had IMRT and have been on ADT for 1 year. I noticed that my feet seem to be swollen. I have not gained any weight with the ADT and my bloodpressure is under control. Any others with this condition or ideas as to why?

Re: Swollen feet

Hi Alan,

Like yourself I had ADT and RT, and I gained no weight.

The only time I experienced swollen feet (and legs) was when I suffered an adverse reaction to a certain painkiller - Diclofenic... probably has a different name outside the UK.

So, could it be any medication you've been taking?

Best Wishes,

Re: Swollen feet

There are a lot of causes for swollen feet. This need not be Pca related.

Re: Swollen feet

Alan,

I agree that it's probably not related to the PCa.

Just as a matter of curiosity, was some portion of your IMRT devoted to the whole pelvis, or was the entire treatment to the prostate only?

Swelling in the extremities is a known symptom of lymph node involvement.

However, If you have been on ADT for a year, I see no reason to believe that would be the cause.

It's probably nothing to worry about but if it persists, I would mention it to the docs.
