Re: Re: Libido

Thank you Terry...there is hope!

Re: Re: Re: Libido

My very oath, there certainly is. one of my biggest compaints about our Wstern medical system is that it so often takes away hope by emphasising gthe negatives.

Re: Libido

Michael,
You listed out your treatment, but not the order you received it.

At 74 years of age, I had in order of treatment, 6 months hormone, 5 weeks EBRT and HDR Brachytherapy. The brachy was in early Dec 07. In January 08 my PSA was 0.02 and my testosterone 9. I can certainly feel an increase in libido, sadly my wife had a stroke in December 07, so it will not do me a lot of good.

I am convinced that the hormone treatment is the biggest offender as far as libido loss is concerned, yet it seems that in many cases, this treatment is kept to being the last. I would be interested to know the sequence of your treatment.

Peter

Peter,

I was treated at Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York.
A very fine hospital.
