Dying Mom

Hi All,

I just discovered this forum, and can I relate! I'm wondering if anyone else's mother has passed away, and how you dealt with the conflicting emotions. My mom was schizoid, borderline personality disorder, and a very devout Baptist (which she subsequently shoved down my throat as a small child).

Anyway...I've done many different types of therapy, retreats, groups, etc., etc. - and now that my mother is dying (she has end-stage Alzheimer's) I literally can't bring myself to go see her. Any thoughts??

Re: Dying Mom

Go see her. Even if she doesn't know who you are, this will put you at peace. You don't have to see her often, just every once in awhile. I know its hard been hard for you. You are almost done. Hang in there, I will be thinking about you. Take care.
