I am 31 too. My mother is super manipulative as well. I want to be free too. I didn't know that Al-Anon meetings dealt with this issue. If you could provide any information, I would appreciate it.

What is it about "boundaries"? Im still learning!!!!!!!!

If it's too much for you to bear right now in your life, you might check around and see who else could take over her finances; an attorney, a family member, etc. Or explore the option of leting her do things her way, and so be it, allow her to manage her own. Then maybee she will understand that one cannot have a 401K on disability!!!!!!! It's problebly the 'grandios' thinking. Has she gone in for blood work, to see the levels of medication in her blood; i.e. is she really taking her meds?

Ive found Adult Children of Alcoholics to be helpful during times of crisis.....

Good Luck!!!! I sure hope she comes to her senses, but I know, realistically sadly it's not likely.
