Training - Wednesday 28th August

We have our first regular midweek training session of the season at the Southgate Hockey Centre tomorrow (Wednesday) night on the Astroturf and it is vital that all players who are not yet registered to play in League matches this season make an effort to turn up and bring a proper passport photo with them. They will not be eligible to play in our first League match on Sunday 8th September if they don't.
This includes Martin Cruickshank, Younes Jouied, Ollie Blake, Jack Tompkins and numerous prospective new players who our current players have been promising to bring along during Pre-Season...but haven't yet.

As usual, hardly anybody is bothering to use Teamer to indicate whether they are attending training or not. What then happens is that players look at that and think 'nobody' is going, so they don't bother to attend themselves !
We MUST stop that attitude as it is killing us ! Please make an effort to turn up tomorrow night.
If players do not turn up without telling us in advance that they cannot attend, then they will be left out of the squad for this coming Sunday's Pre-Season Friendly (if we get one arranged and if we have got enough players without them).
If you do not want to use Teamer to let us know if you are available or not, then just text/phone me on 07949 128505 or Trevor on 07894 961484.
Alternatively, just leave a message here on this Forum thread.

Full details regarding training this season can be found here: http://www.edmontonrovers.co.uk/clubinformation.html#TRAINING
Please note that we will be starting at 8.30.p.m. and players who have a fag in the car park instead of doing the warm-up & fitness session will more than likely not get in the starting line-up for matches.

Another thing regarding training is that some of our current players (and also some ex-players) are doing their coaching badges or at least know several drills that we can do. Trevor will most certainly welcome any help from anybody who has some good new ideas/drills to make training 'less boring/repetitive', so please feel free to step forward when you are there or come along and help out. Alan Barnard often organises the warm-up & fitness session, but he will not be there tomorrow night (according to Teamer), so we will definitely need somebody to take the lead with that. Myself and Trevor are too old and can no longer join in !
