Squad For Sunday 28th October (Home to Bromley Knights)

This coming Sunday sees us playing our most important match of the season so far as we face top Orpington & Bromley Sunday League Premier Division side Bromley Knights in the Second Round of the London FA Sunday Junior Cup (at Hazelwood).
They are probably the strongest side in the Competition and should be playing in the Sunday Intermediate Cup, but then so should we really. (I am not sure what the London FA were playing at with their seeding policy this season !)
If we win this match, we will have a very good chance of reaching the Final (on current form).

Goalkeeper Simon Jackson is away on holiday for this match, as is back-up keeper Tim Beeden, but we are hoping that Martin Loveday will be able to make himself available for his first appearance of the season so that we do not have to put an outfield player in goal. (I know Loveday normally plays as a defender for us, but for those of our new players who do not know him, he actually joined us as a goalkeeper first and foremost anyway).

Alan Barnard and Terry Moore will both be available after missing the Mardan match, and we are also hoping to have new signings Frazer John and George Stahlmann available for selection as well. Player attendance and performance at training on Wednesday night will also be taken into consideration, even though Manager Trevor Hughes won't be there as he is going to Arsenal ! (Myself, Barney & Terry Moore will report back to him).

Two players we are waiting on before the squad can be picked (on Wednesday night/Thursday morning after training) are Gavin Mardell and Ali 'TJ' Sowe, who are both currently injured.
I don't know what the situation is with Daniel Daley as regards being picked for this match as Trevor is sorting that one out. We had to impose a club suspension on him for the Mardan match as punishment for approaching the Referee after the match following his sending-off against Larsens. (A word of advice to the rest of our players who may be thinking of doing likewise if they get sent off...confronting the Referee afterwards is strictly not allowed, whatever you wish to say to him !)

Also, don't forget the clocks go back an hour before this game...and it might go to Extra-Time and penalties, so no arranging 'dinner with the in-laws' at 1.00.p.m....as many of our players have done in the past.

Re: Squad For Sunday 28th October (Home to Bromley Knights)

Trevor has named a squad of 16 for this Sunday as follows:
Martin Loveday (GK)
Alan Barnard
Lexton Harrison
Terry Moore
Martin Cruickshank
Tony King
George Stahlmann
Danny Hagan
Daniel Cascoe
Francis Karemo
Younes Jouied
Riaz Daniels
Jack Bangs
Rafiel Johnson
Ben Keating
Frazer John

Gavin Mardell was there at training last night but his hamstring injury is unlikely to have healed by Sunday so he has been left out of the squad, as has Ali 'TJ' Sowe who wasn't there last night. We assume he is therefore also still injured.

We should have several other registered players available if three or more drop out of the above squad, so if any of those are coming to watch, please bring your boots !
You may be needed at the last minute as Flu is a big problem at the moment with several players missing training last night because of it. (Either they themselves had it or somebody at work did, so they had to work late to cover for them).

Re: Squad For Sunday 28th October (Home to Bromley Knights)

Here's the latest news on the squad...

We are still waiting for Danny Hagan, Rafiel Johnson & Martin Cruickshank to confirm their availability, either on Teamer, on here or by text/e-mail. None of them were at training on Wednesday night. I don't know if Martin is still ill or not.
Also, we need John Scouller to confirm if Frazer John is available.

Ali 'TJ' Sowe and Gavin Mardell are both definitely out injured, but both are coming to watch. TJ has the No.3 shirt from last week, so he has got to come along and bring that, otherwise he will be fined !

Loveday is playing but he has to leave after 90 minutes to go to a Wedding in the afternoon, so let's hope we can win the game before it goes to Extra-Time !

Hagan & Rafiel are o.k.

Still don't know about Martin or Frazer.
