I have just received the draw and we have a Bye in the First Round of the London F.A. Sunday Intermediate Cup this year, which is good news for Trev as that always clashes with his annual September holiday to Cyprus.
He will now miss a League game on the 12th September instead !

In the Second Round (to be played on Sunday 24th October), we are at Home to KENSINGTON ATHLETIC.
They finished second from bottom last season in Division One of the Sportsmans Sunday League.
Nacional De Londres (who we beat last season) finished in mid-table in the top Division of that League...which is actually two divisions higher, so judging by that, this is a game that we should win.

If we get through to the Third Round (to be played on Sunday 12th December), we will then be Away to either CHARLTON UNITED, PHOENIX or CETINKAYA CINAR.
Charlton United reached the Semi-Finals last year and beat Enfield Royals 5-3 along the way. They also won the Premier Division of their League.
Phoenix lost 6-4 in the Second Round to the eventual winners (Eltham United) last season, but they have been the best team in the Camden Sunday League for quite a few years now and usually get through to the London Cup Quarter-Finals.
Cetinkaya Cinar are a Turkish Cypriot team from the KOPA League who play at Tottenhall Rec in Palmers Green, just down the road from Hazelwood, so in a way we hope they get through. However, we are playing them in a Pre-Season Friendly next Sunday !

Although Cetinkaya Cinar's squad is a 'Who's Who' of local Ryman League and Spartan South Midlands League players, Charlton United will be the favourites to get through (from what Enfield Royals were telling me).
Whoever we play, it will be an extremely tough game as all three sides are probably the best in the whole competition.
Also, Trevor is away in Australia on that date !!!
