We had a pre season training session on Thursday before our 7 a side match against Locomotive Southgate with 15 players attending including Lexton Harrison and Jerome Harrison hopefully returning to the club and one new player Steve Sivanathan. After a one hour session we had 8 volunteers to play in the match.
Ozel Ozerman played in goal with regulars Martin Loveday, Lee King, Dean Assiamah, Tem Adil, Danny Hagan joined by Andy McGovern and debutant, Steve Sivanathan. We started well and Dean Assiamah claimed another assist as his shot was saved and Lee King poached a goal from the rebound after just four minutes. The game was fairly even but we played well and deserved our second goal which was again scored by Lee from Dean’s pass. In the second half there were plenty of volunteers to be substituted as several players were tiring. Rob Brown joined the squad but the extra substitute could not prevent Locomotive pulling one goal back. We created several good chances but could not score a killer goal before we conceded a late equaliser with two minutes left. As we are mid table it was not too important that we drew but overall it was a good fitness work out.
