As some of you will be aware my gorgeous daughter Aoife was born last year with only one functioning kidney. This itself is not an issue and she will lead a perfectly normal life. But me being me I decided to take on another silly challenge this year - The Loch Ness Marathon - Sunday 5th October. When picking a charity to run for I thought that Kidney Research UK would be perfect. Hopefully Aoife will never need to rely on a charity like this, but if anything happened to her functioning kidney, well you never know....
