We were fielding a strong squad for our match against Crazy Horse who are one of the better sides in the Monday night league. Tony King was late but the starting seven played some excellent passing football and we took the lead when Steve Cokell found Tony Speller unmarked to set up Derek Dorward for an easy finish. Just a minute later a long pass from Terry Moore was superbly controlled and finished by Tem Adil to give us a 2-0 lead. Unfortunately, Crazy Horse were very competitive and scored two excellent goals themselves just before half time to make it 2-2 at the break.
We fell behind two minutes into the second half when Simon Jackson seemed to misjudge an effort which may have got a deflection. The game was a very good standard but we felt that we created the better chances and were thwarted by several fine saves from the Crazy Horse keeper. However, another good finish on the break made it 4-2 and a disappointing result despite a good performance.
