Laurence has a problem with his e-mail so I am posting my match report on the Forum as it was an excellent performance and result.

After some disappointing results in our last few matches our Monday night team faced top of the table Middlesex University. Fortunately, we had a regular goalkeeper available, namely Simon Jackson and seven good quality outfield players with Robin Pryke and Tony Speller in defence, Danny Hagan, Clark Williams and Tem Adil in midfield and Derek Dorward and Tony King up front. The first half started with some good football by both teams. We defended particularly well and Simon made some good saves when shots got through. We also created several chances and took the lead after 15 minutes when a perfectly weighted cross from Tony Speller found Derek Dorward unmarked to complete a neat first time finish. Unfortunately, we conceded an equaliser just before half time when a breakaway from our corner led to a good finish from Middlesex University’s excellent centre forward. The same player scored early in the second half but we kept playing some good passing football and were rewarded with an equaliser from Danny Hagan after an excellent move created by Tem and Del. Both teams were chasing a winner as the game went from end to end but in truth we were satisfied with a 2-2 draw against very good standard opposition.
