Following the problems we had on Sunday at Hazelwood with the showers not working and the changing rooms & car park being opened 'late', I e-mailed Enfield Council this morning to complain and here is their reply:

' I have spoken to the Parks Manager, Trevor Richards today. He informed me that the contractors are still working on the problem and are awaiting the parts that they ordered. They can't give a definite date as to when the boiler will be fixed but we are hoping it will be done for this weekend. I am sorry for any inconvenience this caused you as I was under the impression it would have been working for this weekend gone.
On a Sunday the groundsman is supposed to have opened up the changing rooms prompt at 10am, sometimes they open up the grounds earlier than this, often when they need to tidy up after Saturday's games. Therefore on a Sunday the grounds/changing rooms should be opened for 10am and closed no later than 1pm. '

This therefore confirms what last season's groundsman ('Deano') was saying, as he was paid to open up the changing rooms from 9.00.a.m. - 1.00.p.m. but was laid off during the Summer to save money.

This means that teams like St. Margaretsbury (and most of the others in our Division) who turn up at 9.30 to do a proper warm-up session are going to have to get changed outside.
It looks bad on us really and I do sympathise with our opponents, but what can we do ?!
