Just in case some of our players haven't bothered to read the Latest Club News page, TRAINING IS DEFINITELY ON TONIGHT !!!
9.00.p.m. start at the Southbury Leisure Centre.
Players who have not been before are advised that we normally meet in the far left-hand corner of the car park at around 8.50.p.m. before walking round the back of the Leisure Centre to the Astroturf pitches just before 9.00.p.m.
Last season we had loads of players continually turn up at around 9.15.p.m. every week. If they do this again this season we will stop them from joining in if it messes up anything we have already started...and particularly if they do not bring any money with them.
The new rules regarding payment for attending training this season are:
- If you were in the squad on Sunday just gone, £1.00 is added onto your subs owed.
- If you have paid your Annual Subs and you were NOT in the squad on Sunday just gone, £2.00 is added onto your subs owed.
- If you have NOT paid your Annual Subs yet (or you are a triallist/prospective new player), you MUST pay £3.00 ON THE NIGHT.
There are several players who are due to be attending tonight who appear to want to play for us this season but have not paid their Annual Subs yet, mainly because Trevor has been forgetting to remind them, they have not been about lately, or they have not been looking at the website.
If these players want to pay a small amount of their Annual Subs tonight or on Sunday (e.g. £5.00 a week because they cannot afford to pay £25.00 all in one go), then that's fine by us, and they will then only be charged £2.00 for training.
However, if players blatantly continue to pay no Annual Subs, we will then start charging them £3.00 for training every week.
I am expecting a very good turnout of at least 16 players tonight. Arsenal are on TV TOMORROW night !
The only players who have genuine excuses for missing this training session are Conor Mc,Govern (On Holiday), Paul Woolston (Watching Chelsea on TV) and Paul Ellerker & Peter Murphy (Live too far away). We expect to see everybody else make an effort to be there....unless they leave a message here that they are not able to attend.
Kizza, Rebairo and Ozel were not there either...and all said they were coming, but apart from that we had a good turn-out of 15 and a very worthwhile session.
Grimsby v. Spurs Live on Sky next Tuesday though.
Anyone watching that ?
