Hi chaps pretty sure it was a 94 bty gun as advertised in rabbit hill photos

Ned, you may well be right. 49 Bty gun was "Wolverhampton" - unless the Bty's had more than one named gun?

94 Bty did indeed have a gun named 'Stoke on trent'. When the Mayor came to the unveiling his complaint was that it didn't read .. 'City of .....
Looking through my photo collection the only shot I can find of the day is of Lt. Myers & myself stood by the command post with the Mayor, Battery Commander & C.O. looking on.

I'd like to upload the photo but can't seem to find anything that'll let me do it!
