A message board to discuss the vampire character Caleb Morley (from the ABC-TV daytime drama "Port Charles"), other vampires in fiction and myth, the supernatural, the arts, and various dark muses.
---A couple more things I wanted to add here--This discussion of
Caleb/ME's intensity and people's fear of emotions reminds me of some
lines of poetry from two of my favorites, Iggy Pop and Sylvia Plath--
Iggy Pop--"Gimme danger, little stranger, and I'll feel you bleed.
Gimme danger, little stranger, and I'll heal your disease."
Sylvia Plath--"I do it so it feels like hell.
I do it so it feels real.
I guess you could say I've a call."
Also, thinking about Caleb's relationship with Livvie, the futility of Caleb's
love, and listening to Joy Division, these lyrics from "Shadowplay"
come to mind:
"To the centre of the city where all roads meet looking for you,
To the depths of the ocean where all hopes sank searching for you..
Moving through the silence without motion
waiting for you
In a room with no window in the corner,
I found truth. . . ."
