Interesting. I think I missed some of the article's message due to the difficulty of reading it without paragraph "wrapping" and having to scroll sideways! But I think what I missed was whether or not these folks are actually connected to the RIAA or if they were spoofing them... or if it was the RIAA's own spoof... and in either case, what the ultimate accomplishment or payoff turned out to be.
But I've come across the name "Scary Sherman" connected to a "Claire Chanel" before, and decided that it was coincidental and unconnected to the one we know in these parts... it doesn't seem unheard-of that someone else would think of the same spoof on the name "Clear Channel"!
