Ok, on close inspection the likness is very convincing. However, here are my devil's advocate skeptics questions.
1.Photoshop can't be ruled out.
2.The face is odd, somehow mask-like. Make-up? Surgery? something definately happened to the left side.
3. The story is obviously exposition. The delivery is either that of a re-telling, or a fiction. Our friend is clearly delivering us the images. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad our friend is showing us the goods.
Man, you guys are fast! I just checked in again before going to bed. Anyway, the picture was taken a couple of years ago, the reason for the weird clothes is that my kid Spencer, the one on the left, and his friend Sean went through a period where they would only shop at Salvation Army. They were being socially conscious! They also were vegetarians for a while. He's kind of weird (in a cute way of course), that's why he likes hanging around at Nathan's and watching movies. And Nathan has gotten even fatter in the last couple of years. Like I said, I'll try to get a new photo next time I'm over there. I'm not too worried about him seeing this because he doesn't own a computer and he told me that he has never used one. But even if he does see it, I'm not out to ruin the guys life or anything. He's a nice guy and I'm just curious. I think it would be really cool if he was Andy Kaufman!
Egad... well, there is that Andy-like thing goin' on there... and something else about it reminds me of the kid in that Cher movie a few years back.
What's the design on the kid's black T-shirt?
The address of the photo says it is a ".jpg," yet my computer wants to only recognize it as an ".art" file. Anyone else having this problem? I wanted to save it and enlarge it on my screen, but the program doesn't seem to like the ".art" file.
Sorry to burst the bubble, but I'm 95% sure this is a fake.
I copied the pic in photoshop and zoomed in on the face area. It shows clearly that the mouth, nose, eyes and brows are different kind of pixels. Most noticable is the 'line' from the nose to the chin.
Nice try though.
Hmmmmmm. Something about the arms remind me alot of Andy. The arms are very hairry like Andy's. The face looks alot like his also. Both sides of the face looks like there's white-makeup on it.
But it's almost spookie how much the face looks like Andy's.
Tell us more about MR Mccoy, friend.
The guy in the photo resembles Vincent Schiavelli to me.
trivia about him from an online biography:
"Vince got his role as a TV exec in Man on the Moon (1999) from his few appearances with Andy Kaufman on "Taxi" 1978.
Is frequently cast in Milos Forman films."
