but I actually miss Claire. It was fun popping in any time of the day or night to see if one could get her to respond. To ask what she was watching on TV. To talk about the latest DVD from Lynne, or photos of doggies, or a chapter of Huey WIlliams.

There were lots of times I reminded myself to consciously appreciate what likely wouldn't last forever. And it didn't, even though it's still somewhat here... but different.

I am still up working on my darn research paper. And I just thought about how it used to be, you could stop in any time and Claire might be there to chat back at you. It was nice knowing/pretending that there was a person who, no matter how much time you spent on her board, supposedly she was there more often than you.

Yeah, she used to post, then delete messages in the blink of an eye. She somehow new when you where online, and when you had read one.

Claire is/was/is not/never/ever real.
