I was in the Hart High Auditorium the night Ronald Reagan spoke--a first town hall meeting I guess. My Dad was a Republican so of course we had to see this guy. Imagine, picking a small town like Newhall to speak in his run for Govenor (1967 to 1975.) I only remember that he was tall and soft spoken--not being politically minded at that time, I haven't a clue what he was saying! Best to you, Shanda
The letter from President Reagan was in response to a letter sent to him from the reunion committee inviting him to the reunion. It was written by Carolyn Chitwood and really a cute and clever letter. If you have it, I think that it would also be fun for everyone to read.
Do you think that we should invite President Bush? :)
