The Bisoul Forum - try to explore our enigmas today
Welcome!
Please use this forum to ask Bisoul anything you find necessary, or to give us constructive suggestions how we may improve events for you. We try to answer here as much as we can, yet when we do not, rest assured it is being read. Also feel free to comment on what others post.
Click post to start a new thread, or open an existing thread and add your opinion to it, but do try to not start new threads when a related topic already exists.
Love it or hate it, since English is the most widely spoken language worldwide, we appreciate if you use it at all times!
For all of you who wanna comment anything regarding Bisoul's last party cOnCuSsioN, this thread is for you.....
let me start -
a) how many of you want models from the Endsummer's Wet Dream contest to become Bisoul Babes?
b) who wants the Bisoul Action Man to play with the article for you?
c) what were the highlights of the evening in your opinion?
..... d) .... and from here to you..... ask further questions, suggest more stuff, be creative..... dont expect things but start them yourselves
47 views and possibly nobody with nothing to say?
.... and you expect us to put time into this any longer?
So simply put, this FORUM IS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO VISIT TO USE.
It only takes a minute to scribble something - Bisoul wants to hear from you.
Well.. to answer all of the above questions.. bisoul babe thingy not my thing lol.. not even the men competition, to be honest i think main attraction was the good music, lazer etc.. i guess thats basicly what most people wanted, a great night with great music (not just metal music) that you can enjoy!!! well 10x for the great night :D i had a good time!
Concussion was OK, but Freeze was better...I don't have any specific suggestions on how the events could be improved as regards planning, but a proper forum for the scene would help. If we had a strong online community, the events would probably be more of a success.
Thanks for the last 2 posts & opinions, which shall be kept in mind.
I would also like to add that besides the Bisoul Recommends section in our Interact menu, there is another forum thread being http://pub2.bravenet.com/forum/108121366/show/497237
where users of this site may freely advertise their own/ their mates´ events. So gossip about that, so users may take the opportunity to start using it.
I must admit that I've got the same opinion as Steffi. I enjoy myself more with the music and the diversity of the theme itself, rather than the competions. We're bored of the same old thing repeating itself.
All Bisoul Promoters deserve an applause for the creativity that they've been putting in their work.
Thank you guys for the great efforts and the spectacular parties you're doing
2 questions
Where and when were things repeated?
And if it is only the same old music, would that not lead to a repetition in itself?
What we mean is I think we try to find a balance each time & we hence thank you for appreciating the creativity involved.
Currently, we got 3 parties in mind all with a different theme, musically and performancewise. Obviously however, we need some more members to join to present all of this, so looking forward to hear from someone who wants to join the team as our intropage asks.
What I meant regarding "The same old thing" is in general to the stuff we find here in Malta, such as live gigs - we go, we support them but we're still repeating ourselves by going, even though we're enjoying ourselves.
Regarding the music it's true that when you hear of an 'old song' automatically you're repeating something, but I totally didn't mean that.
To hear such good music is when you guys promote these parties, it's quite difficult to attend in our usual bars (not to mention any names) and not listen to metal music. We keep on repeating ourselves and be present in such places coz we know that such parties, like you guys promote, are not done every week.
I'm happy to hear that you're putting some more thoughts of doing more parties, and I'm glad
It is refreshing to see an alternative scene develop. Thanks for working on it.
As far as the Concussion event goes, I have a few comments. While I personally love the 'heavy' dark wave played, I think it would have been better to alter a bit throughout the night in order to please everyone. Maybe start softer and build up as the night progresses. I'm sure some folks were intimidated by the relentless electro-'grind'. It is amazing that such a few people dance and so many stand around.
The contests or whatever you wish to call them detracted from the night rather than helped, imo. Once you have people tranced out by the music, you can't just turn it off to hold a contest. Kinda kills the adrenaline rush and it's a nasty anti-climax. Either hold the events earlier while the music is still relatively mellow or tone the music down before you plan to hold the contest. Or else you will just jerk people out of their mood and ruin their buzz. In fact, this was quite apparent by the number of people leaving right after.
Having said that, I'm still thankful for the efforts. Keep it rolling, folks. Or else we'll all die of boredom.
the competition definitely came at a disastrous moment in the party...the dance floor had *FINALLY* worked itself up into a swirling energy of writhing bodies and all of a sudden it got cut off by something so far removed that you can hardly call it going off on a tangent...even tangents have more of a relationship with whatever it is they're coming off of...
once the competition ended...as chaotic and drunken, disorderly and entertaining as it may have been, it's very apparent that the majority of the crowd felt that the party had somewhat ended...vibes died down and as has been mentioned many people wafted off away from the party...
look after your vibes
reschedule things if need be
the competition element in the parties is definitely something different and i can appreciate what you're trying to do, but with a venue like red square, somewhere a bisoul party has never been held and much more suited to the 'party' vibe (well done on the general feel of the place by the way..whatever it was composed of it worked without showing up as cheesy or put on..though i dont know what normal red square looks like i must admit..but it worked)...perhaps the competition should have been re-thought...maybe could have waited to see if the dance floor got exhausted at some point...might have been a welcome break then...
as for music and alternative-ness yeah sure you've got it going...but the vibe killers are what make people wary of spending their cash at your next event.
Indeed the headache ain't over but we asked for your comments, so indeed they are all welcome.
To answer to Serenity Ashes - 10x for re-explaining yourself. We truly appreciate when writers to this forum take time to read through what they want to say before hitting POST MSG. That helps us get the msg clear on the first time!
To answer the other 2 persons with a comment, thanks for bringing forward your opinions. Although CONCUSSION's set list changed at the venue as we saw that the majority seemed to ask for a harder set, we do understand that sometimes to please some you have to displease the others, not that it is our interest to do so, but it happens each time as the music we cater for is so vast that at some point it tends to become a double-edged sword.
But the fact you are commenting means you still stayed on at the venue nevertheless, so a warm thank you for that.
As mentioned, we do try to please everyone if possible, yet in our position we have to cater for both the public and sponsor demands, and hence at times some things are inevitable.
Yet thanks for your suggestions. We shall keep in view for next time.
Finally, if I might add, since all of you posting here support our idea in trying to provide alternative entertainment in Malta, it would be nice should you flood our guestbook with some nice encouraging words too. Thanks in advance.
Remember we are Repulsive & Displeasing. Yet Sweet :P
Well, it is fine to play a hard beat but Concussion was a one-track party. Surely, we who prefer the harder stuff will tolerate some mellower music just to see more people on the floor. The majority of people will not stick to a hardcore grind all night and I think it was quite evident. If you think that was a lot of people on the dance floor, I beg to differ. Don't get me wrong, I think the direction of the music is pretty good - it just needs a bit of polish up. But when I go to such a party I expect to stay there until the crack of dawn, not be forced to leave at 3am-ish because the vibe is dead.
taf x'jonqos? Stand bil-bigilla, naqra hobz bil-kunserva, xi ghannejj bil-flokk ta' taht, u eileen montesin tipprezenta, biex zgur isir kollox barra party haha. bilhaqq... fis-sajf dulliegha, ftit gheneb u gbejna tal-bzar tajba ukoll.
1) Sorry Laws but can you post in English thank you?
2) Zaras - we did not get you wrong. Although CONCUSSION was meant from the outset to cast a concussion, it does not reflect what previous parties were and what future ones shall be. That is the essence of each Bisoul party - we want people to not come with expectations but enjoy what is offered to them in a more vibrant way!!!
We did not get you wrong, we value your comments & opinions, yet as mentioned before, it is very hard to please everyone. Yet we keep on trying and failing, as each time we fail to please someone, we please another hehe :)
