Opinions are OK, but please provide as much factual evidence as possible for any assertions that you are making

In his latest newsletter Marckini refers to a new technique called theranostic imaging which uses a precise delivery system enabling cancer cells to be attacked by chemotherapy agents without harming normal cells. It also mentions a recent report from John Hopkins University which discusses theranostic techniques that "allow prostate cancer cells to be killed with more precision than ever."
Anyone familiar with this approach? Effectiveness? Limitations? Etc.?
