Apologies for being a day late with the Clip Of The Week and pics with the Match Report.
It was due to us having a Management Meeting on Monday night and then me filming Grays 0 Dagenham 4 last night ! (Our ex-player Glen Southam scored one of Dagenham's goals).
I hope Northmet's skipper doesn't mind but I have put his Own Goal as Clip Of The Week !
It looked as if the ball may have been over the line when it came down from the crossbar off Stuart's shins !? (I think there is a pause button on Windows Media Player so you can decide for yourselves when watching the clip).
They had twice as many shots as us and I don't think we could have complained if they had won 2-1 rather than us, but we certainly defended really well against some very good attacking players in their line-up and if it was professional football it would be looked on as a classic Away performance to get the three points.
I don't think we can blame any of our players for their goal. It was good passing, movement and finishing all round and the two dummies sold to Wooly and Terry were very cleverly done.
The only other talking point (I think ?) was Simon's air-shot mis-kick from a through ball in the Second Half. Yes, the video confirms it DID bobble up as he went to kick it.
I have not updated the Latest Club News page yet with what was discussed at the Management Committee Meeting. I will have that done by Monday.
