Lisburn Exiles Forum

(Site is no longer operational pending a major long overdue overhaul of the entire website. Thank you for your patience. Site should still be visible and searchable for old posts.)

The Lisburn Exiles Forum is dedicated to the memory of James Goddard Collins (The Boss) who single-handedly built LISBURN.COM (with a lot of help from many contributors) from 1996 to 29th November 2012. This website was his passion and helping people with a common interest in the City of Lisburn around the world is his lasting legacy.

the moon

Just looked out the window
and saw beautiful bright
moon, we are having our
first frost tonight in
the suburbs of Pittsburgh,
will have to cover the flowers.

Nite all.
Sylvia.

Re: the moon

Reminds me of:
I see the moon
The moon sees me
Down by the shade
Of the old oak tree
Please let the light
That shines on me
Shine on the one
I love

Goodnight all

Re: Re: the moon

Thanks Dabbler,
I had forgotten about that
little poem.

Sylvia.

Re: the moon

Lullaby, Sylvia. Correctly as follows:
I see the moon and the moon sees me,
Shining through the leaves of the old oak tree.
Please let the light that shines on me,
Shine on the one I love.

Over the mountain, over the sea,
Back where my heart is longing to be.
Please let the light that shines on me,
Shine on the one I love.

I hear a Lark and she sings to me,
Singing a song of a memory
Please let the light that shines on me,
Shine on the one I love
