To all the girls I,ve loved before

Tonight being a beautiful sultry summer evening here in Munich, my darling wife and I grilled on the balcony. To make the treat complete I played some background music, Mr Acker Bilk,s CD called My songbook. Old time melodies eg. To all the girls I've loved before. I just called to say I loved you.Do that one more time. etc.
Towards the close of the evening I gathered my wife in my arms and danced with her into the conveniently situated adjacent bedroom. Guess what happened next.

My wife woke me the next morning for breakfast as I just dreamt all that.

Re: To all the girls I,ve loved before

Just remembered Bobby Robinson singing Some Enchanted Evening. Boy, what a smashing evening that was. Just listening.

Re: Re: To all the girls I,ve loved before

Dabbler You heard nothing yet You want to hear Paddy Taggert singing the Holy City I heard him one night in the big hall and he had just come from the a special apperance at The Apperoe's in Newcastle no expence spared, what this has got to do with Donald's dream ?I don't know but the craig's great.
Kind Regards Ted

reminds me of the joke where Pat ( not ours ) entered a Monastery where everyone was committed to laws of silence, with one exception. Every morning during meditation the brothers had to walk around the garden and could greet their fellow monks by chanting " Good Morning brother ". After some months of this monotonous procedure Pat decided to chant something different and chanted " Good Evening Brother " . The Abbot who was looking out of the window if his cell and heard Pat chanted down " Some C++t chanted evening! " Have a nice weekend all.

Liebfraumilch ( the name of a vineyard or distributor ) and Riesling ( a type of grape ). it,s nice to see you have a basic knowledge of and take an interest in German.
Have a nice weekend all. I,ve almost got my lady bride convinced that we should go to Canada in October

The Arsenal match has kept me wide awake this evening - favourite word of the moment - so here I am again. I'll ignore that naughty Deutschlander, and say that Jimmy, Paddy's nephew, still alive last year, told me when I was sixteen how good a singer his uncle was. Jimmy, a quiet lad, and not in is uncle's class as a tenor, nevertheless surprised us all in the Robin's Nest one night, when he dispensed with his mouth organ and broke into a song which went: When You Hear Big Ben You're Home Again.

Donald, I'm joking. Love your jokes - even naughty ones.

Re: To all the girls I,ve loved before

Donald @Dabbler Regarding Liebfraumilch I was once told a German would hardly know what it was as it was an export brand which you couldnt purchase in Germany maybe you can confirm this, I think it was one's introduction to wine here, Riseling is a different matter a lovely summer wine which the Aussies have perfected, Regarding the Germans I always had an interest, one of them killed my Granfather but say nothing I don't want any trouble,
I do hope you can convince yours truly to acompany you to Canada I beleive it is a beautifull country,
Dabbler regarding the Robins Nest it's a Pub I hardly ever used yet it was the first pub I ever bought a bottle of stout in, we then carried them up to the Wallace Park and tried to drink them with out doubt the vilest taste I ever experenceid but I persivered and was converted and when you got it good it was something to behold I think when the corks went it lost something so much for progress. The rain hasn't stopped here today it would nearly drive you to drink Good Evening to you both Ted

Re: To all the girls I,ve loved before

Ted, we've moved away from the girls, but do you remember askin' for two with the tops off?
My son took us for a meal, so I'm up really late.
Goodnight, Lisburn.

Liebfräumilch was sold years ago in Germany , it was a cheap type of wine ( wreck the house ).I must keep an eye out if it still is, possibly not as import wines from all over the world have taken over the lower priced German and Austrian wine market
Riesling is a type of grape now grown all over the world, used to produce white wine. I once was shown around a Winery in Germany and the Vinter told us it,s now possible to produce white wine from red grapes as they have discovered a method to remove the coloring from them ( no crap )

Re: Re: To all the girls I,ve loved before

Donald and Ted.
I was wondering if it is the same method taking the RED out of RED WINE, as taking the RED out of PETROL.
Just curious. I once heard that BOOT POLISH was used to get the RED out of PETROL. That would give you a shine.!!!!!!

Re: To all the girls I,ve loved before

LD
never heard that but it was rumoured in my youth that filtering " red Biddy " through a uncut white loaf produced that effect

Re: Re: Re: To all the girls I,ve loved before

Evening Lord Downshire
Funny when I read Donald's account of removing the colour from red wine I thought the same as yourself, regarding fuel, this has become big buisness here at the moment tonights local news reckoned that one out of three garages was selling infereor fuel, when the scam started first they were supposed to have been using Fullers Earth as a filter plus some chemicals its mostly desiel they take the colour out of as it is for comercial engines, Tractors Trawlers Etc as there is no Tax on it, and it will distroy the the pump on a desiel engine and to rebuild or replace you are looking at £1000 +,so the fuel you think is cheap at the time turns out quite expencive and there are very few brought to book for it.they get a small fine and they are back in businness in a couple of weeks
