Re: RAF HSL's Singapore 1941

The only info I have about HSL's at Seletar at the time you mention is that W/O Kinnaird. whom I met when posted to Bridlington after Felixstowe was shut down in 1959/60, rammed a Japanese destroyer in a last-ditch attempt to escape from Seletar , and ended up with bullets in his leg, and being captured, spent the rest of the war as a Japanese POW. I had the privilege on one occasion of taking him by car to the RAF hospital in Lincoln I think it was to have x-rays taken of his leg to make sure the bullets had not moved otherwise the bones could collapse since the bullets were so close together in his leg there was hardly any bone between them. When he retired from the RAF I believe he became harbour master at Brid for a number of years.
