I'm trying to build a model of a 60ft GS Pinnace. I'm trying to get some detail.
1. were the hold sides varnished between the deck and hold cover or painted.
2. what was the colour of the cabin tops in UK colours
I cannot find any colour photos of these craft although there are plenty of B&W.
The only two of these craft that I have been on were in the late sixties the one in Malta, which of course was white and 1360 which was at Mt Batten, I was only on '60 as a passenger and that was only once.

The model I am building is a 1/24 scale not from a kit. I am trying to recreate this model an the 1940s/50s colours.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

further to my last request, does anybody know what the diameter of the Samson Post was: the drawing I'm working off shows it as 3/8" which scales up to 9" which seems a bit on the small side, any ideas?
