Hi!

I want to try my luck with potjiekos, but I don't have a proper pot. I'm wondering if a cast iron Dutch oven or, alternatively, an electrick crock pot (slow cooker) would work as a substitute?? Any ideas? Thought about buying one when I was in S.A. last July, but they're so blinkin' heavy, I opted against it. Am kicking myself now...

Virgil, Potjoekos is basically just a stew, so any pot you can make a stew in will do. Its just so much nicer done outdoors and in a proper potjie
