Love Seeks Expression.
The Big Sister and Little Sister ! Little 6 yrs.old is talking : "We have to buy a Suprise for Sister. When Sister comes home for Christmas... we'll have Apple Pie and we say: WELCOME BACK !" She relates to food ! She always thinks about food. It is sort of funny ! Her plans always involve food ! She talks every day...what she buys her sister. She is making plans for Christmas holiday. She is generous and thinks about giving gifts to her sister ,every day. But....her plan change every day,too. Some days...she plans to paint pictures for her. Other days...she wants to buy Ice-Cream and then now it is ...APPLE PIE ! We got to have Apple Pie for Sister. That is the only way to celebrate ! She said... "MOM...we have to set the Table.Make it real nice for my Sister.We'll make a nice Surprise for her ! " The she says.. " Please,tell my Sister to bring me glass slippers and a Princess dress for Christmas ! " Many people think,it is enough to think good thoughts or to say ONCE in awhile...to somebody,that you care for them.But,the reality is that God created us in such a way...that we need to be re-assured of Love. Love needs to be expressed often and in this little story, a little girl is expressing her heart felt love for her older Sister. Something in her is reaching out to show it...to touch the one,she cares for.She wants to give her some token of her love.Which in her case involves FOOD ! God also reaches out to us.He is always reaching out to us.God's Love GIVES. "For so God loved the world..that He GAVE His Only begotten Son,that whosoever believes in Him,would not perish but have Everlasting Life " It is so important we all learn to express our Love and give out to others in Positive ways the re-assure and encouragement they need it. God is a Giver and He wants us to learn to Give,also. God expressed His Love by Sending His Son to die on our Behalf. When we receive Jesus into our hearts and lives,we can give Thanks to God,for His Gift of Love ! We express our Love to God by Obeying His Word and by living Holy lives.That is one way to Express your Love to Him. |
