Unfortunately the child really is not ready for toilet training, as the child does not tell anyone when they have to go to the bathroom. And like most daycare providers, we request that the child start potty training at home & we as daycare providers will do the same as the parents are doing at home....if the child knows enough to tell you they need to go. I have even asked the child every half hour if they need to use the washroom...but they still tell me that they do not & continue to wet their diaper. I am not starving this child, as I make sure that they are getting enough to eat for Breakfast / Lunch & Snack Times. Snack time consist of Fruit / Granola Bar / Juice & the added Arrowroot Cookies. I have had the opposite responce before, in the child was not eating supper because of my Snack Times, so was asked to cut back a little....but never....ever...accused of staving a child....sorry but that accusation really hurt to hear a parent say that to me!
