I am so sorry the wording is so confusing. What I did was got it right from the horses mouth! lol! I called the Ministry of Community and Social Services-licensing office and you can speak to either Wendy or Val those would be the ladies that would knock on your door to tell you that you are over ratio.
We are allowed 5 children NOT including your own betwen the ages of 0-9 years once a child turn 10 years old they do NOT count in our numbers. I also asked regarding my children having friends over or my nephew visiting during day care hours and they do NOT count in your number is you are NOT receiving a pay for it and it is not happening on a regular basis. You can speak to Wendy or Val yourself at (905)665-1030. If you are with an agency like Wee Watch then your own children under the age of 6 years old count in your 5 plus you can only have 3 children under the age of 3 years old and 2 children under the age of 2 years old. Now THAT is confusing too!!
I hope that helps everyone understand it better. |
