I really don't think providers should be asking for references about families. As a parent I would be insulted and would be turned off right away. Who goes into an interview asking for phone numbers of people who used to work there to see what the place is like etc. You are running a business(contracts etc.) for which you are receiving an income. You should be professional enough to deal with problems that arise like people do in other fields of work. If issues cannot be resolved then suggest they find care elsewhere. A lot of people deal with conflict at work everyday, that's a part of life. Sorry to be so forward about this but I felt I needed to speak after reading some of the replys. |
