Writing Höder & Balder in runes
Hi, I'm trying to write Höder and Balder in runes I'm thinking on writing them like that: Höder : Hagalaz - Othila - Dagaz - Ehwaz - Raido Balder : Berkanan - Ansuz - Laguz - Dagaz - Ehwaz - Raido If you can confirm that I'm guessing write, or if you knows some symbols that already represents those gods. Thanx |

I think they would end with Algiz not Raido.. also check the pronouciation of the word might be for example for balder berkana ansuz laguz dagaz algiz leaving baldr |

höðr: hagalaz, oþala, þurisaz, algiz, as in ancient days it was höþr rather than hödur or höder. i'd use þurisaz rather than raiþo (raiðo), as the icelandig yr-rune as used in spelling höðr was algiz before, representing the indoeuropean ending s for a masculine nominative case. in an inscripion found somewher in germany, höðr was indeed spelt hades (no etymological relation to the greek god of the underworld). baldr i would spell berkana, ansuz, dagaz, algiz. |
