Prostate Cancer Survivors

YANA - YOU ARE NOT ALONE NOW

PROSTATE CANCER SUPPORT SITE

This forum is for the discussion of anything to do with Prostate Cancer.

There are only  two rules: no commercials (although it is quite OK to recommend treatment choices and medical people based on your personal research) or fundraisers and no flaming - be polite at all times.

Since we are aiming for it to be a true International Forum it would be good if you showed your country in your post.

Find a good urologist you feel comfortable with. Also before you biopsy, have you been on any antibiotics for prostate problems? If not you might try that first...If you have had any problems. High PSA can come from an infection (among other things) and does not always mean PCa. This is where a good uro comes in.

If you do have to have a biopsy, make sure they give you a local anesthetic and you can also ask for something to calm you, mine gave me some Valium I think, and it made the process a whole lot easier to deal with.

Good Luck

Fred
