Message:   Colin, so you've taken the boat's number and reported the mooring infringement to BW. I'd do the same. What happens next? Chances are, the boat was hired, so there's little recourse, even if the offending captain could be traced. But what could/would BW do, even if they could find a responsible person? Very little. A reprimand? Certainly, there are no powers to impose a fine or impound the boat. As waterways become more congested, are we looking at increased powers for BW or the EA to help make sure these obstructions are removed?
