Message:		I have now read several accounts of the passage up the tidal Severn and taken note of Howard's timely warning to plan for the worst scenario. I think that I would have a dinghy on the roof ready to float off as necessary and wear a life jacket (not a bouyancy aid), a wet-suit, a crash-hat and a nappy.
