why israel is so great
Why oh why am i the only one to realise what a great nation israel is? Im not jewish or even middle-eastern, but i have so much respect for what those Israeli boys and girls are doing in such difficult conditions. Im appalled at the disinformation and the general level of debate surrrounding this issue. Im used to hearing anti-jewish sentiments wrapped in support for the 'poor' palestinian arab cause. But being an educated european i recognise the anti-semitism at the root of it all. Subhash, your potted history of the nation of israel was full of errors, im not a historian but...you could do better. Now to my main topic. Any big-breasted women out there? Joking! Any criticism of Israel cannot be termed as anti-semitism. The term "Semitic people" would includes Arabs too. Technically, it is unwise to term anti-Jewish pronouncement as "anti-semitism". And, you can't accuse me of being anti-Jewish because I am neither a Christian nor a Muslim. I am an Indian. In fact, I was under the impression that Jews have been living in Israel continously since the dawn of civilization. If you read my How To Invest In Stocks (e-Book), you will find that I had been sympathetic to the people of Israel. I have mentioned that Israelis live in a tough neighbourhood but that they have done well only because of their hard work and grit. It was only later I gathered that most Israelis are recent migrants from Europe and that the UN illegally divided Palestine into uneven halves (without of course asking the Palestinians, who have been living there for centuries) and gave the bigger piece to Jews. Apart from the physical danger that most Israelis face, they live comparitively charmed lives. Palestinians in sharp contrast have to live as refugees in their own land. As for historical errors, I am not arrogant to claim I am beyond them. I will gladly correct all errors you point. I spent a few years reading all kinds of book in various public libraries. History was my favorite subject. I don't care for big-breasted women. See my comment on the types of breasts. |
