modem speed
hi I am having 52 kbps modem using telephone line. I get download speed of around 4 kbps although it shows i am connected at 48 kbps. How can i increase my speed? |

Dialup speeds in India only come to around 4 Kbps. There are a few things that you can do to improve speeds. If you are using Windows 98, download Naviscope, go the Settings window, and select the optimized network settings option. You may also download Xteq's X-Setup program, increase COM port speed from System->Hardware option. There are several COM port in your machine. So, select the correct one. |
