Doesn't start
Hi, After installing the VCD player, I started it and an error message came up. It says - "Run-time error '-2147319779 (8002801d)': Automation error. Library not registered." What do you think the problem is and what is your suggestion? Thanks in advance for the help and of course, the player. Regards. |

Automation errors are difficult to track. I suggest you perform the following steps in the given order.
If this does not work, I guess there might be some problem with the ability of the installer to install and register msdxm.ocx and comdlg32.ocx in your machine. There might be some programs that were preventing this from happening. You might try manually registering them and see if that works. From the Start menu, select Run, and type regsvr32 msdxm.ocx and click OK. When you get the confirmation message that the control has been registered, try running Subhash VCDPlayer. If you get the same message again, try registering the other OCX file. From the Start menu, select Run, and type regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx and click OK. Try running Subhash VCDPlayer. If it doesn't work, then I guess that's all you can do about it. It might of course work, if you do a clean install of Windows and then install Subhash VCDPlayer because at least then there would be no conflicts with registering the files. |
