your vcd player

hi, i just downloaded yr vcd player and it works great. i have an old ibm laptop operating on windows 98. though all other formats open perfectly on this laptop i am unable to open avi files thru yr player or other windows media player. i keep getting the error message where it tries to get the codec file from microsoft and then gives the message unable to download approcreate decompressor. i have checked same on other computers and it works fine, pls advise is there some program, plug in i need to down load

Re: your vcd player

AVI files are coded in several formats; most likely with DivX or XviD. I suggest you read the page at Div X Digest and download the necessary codecs. After you have installed the codecs, your AVI files will play in the VCDPlayer or Windows Media Player.
