Retaining an Ohio Wastewater Operator License
Is it just a matter of obtaining the required amount of C.E.U.s to retain an Ohio Wastewater Operator License, IF the person moves to another state? Thank you, Outdoorguy57 |

I Think you have to hold a position in order to maintane your license. Call operator certification and they should be able to tell you. Good luck |

u can email them at opcert@epa.state.oh.us i believe that you can carry your license after you leave as long as you maintain your CEU's i have known people that have retired and still have a license. just remember that they changed the rules that some of your CEU's have to be operations now. good luck and happy new year. |

In order to retain your certification all you need to do is complete the required amount of contact hours and submit your renewal paperwork with the appropriate fee. If you are a Water Supply or Distribution System operator you will also need to fill out a Declaration of Material Assistance (DMA) Form. The requirement to have 50% of your contact hours related to operation and maintenance begins with certificates that expire on December 31, 2008. Thanks, Andy |
