I personally have talked to many riders and track builders on this and alot of riders love the clay berms when there smooth and have a good bowl. This seems to be lost when track asphalt the berm. the bowl is less and it seems hard to get one smooth. Not saying that there are not some good ones out there, There are.
Track builders explain in detail how the asphalt berms 1] speed the track up, so you need to keep in mind that the jumps there after might haved to be altered as to maintain the flow. 2] once its there its there. a whole lot less work, Clay berms are the hardest thing on the track to maintain.( is that spelled right?)When there good it only last for a couple of weeks if you don't stay on them.
Lets here from some more riders. I can't think of a clay track other than Orlando anymore in Florida? |
